Merchant Oyster Company long awaited opening is finally upon the great city of Pittsburgh as we brace ourselves for a new oyster restaurant. Merchant Oyster Company has been a long awaited addition.

Merchant Oyster Company is the second restaurant of Chef and Owner Dennis Marron in just a short few months. Or, The Whale just debuted last month with rave reviews and a menu to savor. Along with GM Mara Letterle they hope to make oysters the newest splash in Lawreceville.  (See what I did there?) They hope to make oysters trendy inland.

The menu will consist of west coast and east coast oysters along with chowders and hamburgers and an authentic Maine lobster roll. There is also a dessert menu that contains a whoopie pie and a New England Apple Cake.

The cocktail menu also has eccentric picks like a Holy Water which is Maggie’s Farm Spiced Rum, Courvasier VS, Orgeat Syrup, Citrus topped and with a flaming lime floater. Also has a Manmosa which is Gansett, vodka, bubbles, Grand Marnier and a splash of freshly squeeze orange juice.

Merchant Oyster Company opens this week at 4129 Butler Street, Pittsburgh PA 15201. For more information check out the website https://www.merchantpgh.com or at Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
