A new brewery popped up overnight in Lawrenceville and not only the beer fantastic, but the eats are drool-inducing.
There are seats on the outside of Cinderlands, however they are not open during the winter months. We ventured inside just after they opened at 4PM. The booths that line the right wall are the same booths from 1908; the old restaurant in market square. The main bar off to the left is gorgeous with warm red wood and marble. Just past it is the open kitchen which was a treat to watch my dinner being cooked.
We started our trip to Cinderlands with a 5oz taster of each beer they had on tap. It is a great selection with a beer for every palette. There menu changes, however on this visit we enjoyed:
Blitering Hayseed-Dry Hopped Saison
Raj-English Pale Ale with Black Tea
Stack Overflow-Coffee Double IPA
Blazing Crude-Coffee Milk Stout
Top Pick: Blazing Crude-Coffee Milk Stout.
The food is a mix of small bites and brewery food with flair. We tried the Diner Burger with a double patty, bacon, american cheese, mayo, steak sauce and pickles on a potato roll. We added an egg to the top. We also tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich; a fried chicken breast with cheddar broccoli flambéed on top with honey mustard and pickles on a potato roll. Both dishes were delicious. They had the perfect combination of flavors and was prepared perfectly.
For dessert we had the homemade pop-tarts that were not on the menu. The pop-tarts were two puff pastries filled with an apple fig and topped with a sweet icing.
Next time you are in want of a great brew and some amazing food Cinderlands Brewing Company is an excellent choice.
