Recently we stopped at the newly opened Fairlane in Mt Lebanon, outside of Pittsburgh, for a few cocktails and a peek at their bottle shop.

First I started with Forgive Me For I have Ginned which is Botanical Gin, Lime, black pepper and Basil Simple Syrup. This was my favorite drink of the night.

Second I had Fig-et About It which was fernet branca, cointreau, fig jam, lime and red zin. This was puckering sweet and tangy.

Notable Tip: Monday Nights are Negroni Night for $6 Negroni.

The bottle shop is a new addition to the restaurant. There is a deli case full of wine and this wine I haven’t seen at other wine stores in South Hills. The beer selection was decent and prices are on track with the local bottle shops. There is also Champagne, which is different from surrounding shops.

Fairlane is the cocktail bar South Hills needs. There is a lack of cocktail bars and lounges in the South Hills which is muddled with dive bars and chain restaurants. Fairlane as a cocktail bar breaks that and makes it their own. Cheers.
