It's July! (Already.  I know.  It seems summer just got here, and it's already July.)  Because the 4th of July is just around the corner, I wanted to share a fun 'Merica recipe.

For some reason, I have been all about sangria lately.  Yes - you don't need to remind me that sangria is not of American origin.  I don't care.  I found a way to combine sangria with something that is American!  How about some delicious Apple Pie Sangria?

Yep.  I went there.

So, apple pie.  What makes apple pie, well, apple pie?  For starters, you have to have your apples.  I don't know about you, but my favorite apple pies are the ones that have a bunch of cinnamon.

INGREDIENTS

1 Granny Smith apple, sliced
1 Red Delicious apple, sliced
1 Golden Delicious apple, sliced
1 Pear, sliced
1 Lemon, sliced
2 c. apple cider
2 bottles ginger beer
2 c. brandy
1 bottle white wine
2 tsp. cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

Fill large pitcher with sliced apples, pear, and lemon.
Add apple cider, ginger beer, brandy, and white wine.
Add cinnamon.
Stir mixture then pour into serving glasses.
Rim glass with cinnamon and sugar and an apple slice.
