On April 14th, Cattivo will be filled with seven of Pittsburgh’s indie-rock scene. The Third Annual Pittsburgh Indie-Rockfest takes place from 4-11PM where cover price is only $10 and all proceeds go straight to the bands.
Sun Hound is one of those bands. Lady Jessica said Sun Hound is: “so ready for Indie Rock-Fest 3 this year. We’re excited to play with this particular lineup of Pittsburgh bands, all in a festival environment, all at a venue we have always had great shows at. We’re looking forward to feeling that electricity circulating through the air from all the creative goodness that will ensue!” They have a sweet soul-filled sound that is pure fire. Pittsburgh’s Indie-Rockfest was born from a competition at the Hard Rock Cafe where, Standard Broadcast and There You Are performed together, Nathan Jay of Standard Broadcast told Brian Crawford of The River’s Edge. They wanted to create a setting with a non-competitive outcome. Just bands and music.
This years festival is hosted by Jeremy Caywood, who has worked with bands Lyola and The Way of Life. Indie-Rockfest will be sponsored by Urban Capital Group (real estate investment firm) and returning sponsors, The River’s Edge (local music radio station) and MIC: Music Industry Connected (musician consulting agency).
Pittsburgh’s Indie-Rockfest takes place on April 14th from 4PM-11PM at Cattivo in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood. For more information visit facebook event.
