Here ye! Here ye! Get ready for the 4th annual Tar and Feather at Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse and Whiskey Garden.
On June 10th, organizations will have a chance to “tar and feather” guests with some creative means. Attendees can participate in crafts and games and a chance to vote on the Tar and Feathers for the winner of the 2016 award. This year Attack Theatre, Assemble Pittsburgh, Carnegie Science Center, Heinz History Center, Venture Outdoors, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh are organizations participating.
Wigle will be “tar and feathering” a distiller that will include hundreds of feathers, a historical reenactment and a dunk tank. During the festivities there will be food from La Palapa and Franktuary with live music from Lone Wolf Club and cocktails. There will also be a Rebellion Bottle Discount for the evening only. All bottles will be discounted in honor of the distillers who fought to keep whiskey in Pittsburgh during the Whiskey Rebellion. Bottles will be discounted $10 off for 750 ml and $5 off for 375 ml sizes. The distillery will remain open until 8 PM to facilitate the sale for those unable to attend the Tar & Feather party.
Head out to the Barrelhouse on Friday to celebrate this most exciting night for Wigle where they pay homage to the rebellion with a whole lot of fun.
