Kennywood is premiering something new this year with the young halloween fan at heart. Happy Hauntings will be a kid friendly part of the park running on Saturday and Sunday throughout the end of October.
The park will be decorated with cornstalks and pumpkins. Happy Hauntings is geared for children under 10 and will include hayrides and pumpkin decorating. The young trick or treaters will have access to Kiddieland as well as the Merry-Go-Round, Auto Race and Jack Rabbit. This is also a time and place where none of the other Fright Night characters will be allowed. Children may dress in costume, however some costumes will not be permitted on certain rides.
The Hootin' Holler Hayride transforms the Olde Kennywood Railroad into a ride to the Skeleton Station, (Not Scary) Pick up is in front of the Parkside Café/Mortem Manor.
Located at Pavilion 15 near Kiddieland is the pumpkin decorating. For an additional fee get started on Halloween by decorating your own Jack-O-Lantern.
At 1PM and at 2:30 Kenny Kangaroo and crew star in Kenny's Spooky Sock Hop. This dance party takes place on the Garden Stage.
