Tar and Feather

The term tar and feather dates back decades as a public punishment that caused a lot of common folk fear, but now days and in the City of Pittsburgh it means something completely different. It is a party filled with food, entertainment and most importantly: WHISKEY.

Wigle Whiskey hosts it’s 6th annual Tar and Feather Party to celebrate the 1974 Whiskey Rebellion. Attendees will be Tar and Feathered by some of the cities most creative groups. Then attendees will jugged who was the best and the winner gets a crown and a bunch of bottles. Groups participating this year include: Attack Theatre, City of Play, Carnegie Library, Carnegie Science Center, Children's Museum, Heinz History Center, Westmoreland Museum.

There will be Blue Sparrow Food Truck on site for great noshes. Blue Sparrow Food Truck fuses global food and your typical street cart food. Music will be provided by Ferdinand the Bull; folk musicians who engage their audience and have fun.

Tickets are $20 and include two cocktails, live music and the festivities. Bottles will also be available for purchase.
