Western Pennsylvania Lamb Cook-Off

The First Annual Western Pennsylvania Lamb Cook-Off is officially ready for this weekend. Jamisons farm in Latrobe, PA is known all over the area for the flavorful Lamb. This Sunday, July 23rd at Ace hotel is the chance for 23 chefs from all over Pittsburgh to serve up this tender meat. The First Annual Western Pennsylvania Lamb Cook-Off was created by Victoria Bradley and Christina French of TABLE Magazine.

The 23 chefs will be broken down into four teams who will create a dish and then compete to win People’s Choice Award. The Official Butcher Partner for the event is Block 292 of Mt Lebanon. There will be vegetarian options provided by Paragon Foods.

“I love events like these because it gives us, chefs, a chance to collaborate and show off some
really awesome local ingredients.”, says Executive Chef and Owner of Black Radish Kitchen,
Kate Romane. “I’ve been a lamb fan for a long time, and I’m excited to see that the other chef
teams come up with.”

The event will take place inside Ace Hotel at Whitfield restaurant and will also be using the outdoor area between the hotel and Carnegie Library in East Liberty. Ace hotel will also be opening the GYM for a special VIP area which will house some cool a/c, an additional bar, and
a relaxing lounge. 

Tickets are in advance for $50.00 for adults and $20 for Children. Tickets can be purchased here. If you want to stay over at ACE Hotel if you book a room either Saturday or Sunday and use the code LAMBFEST for two free tickets and VIP access. VIP access can be purchased the night of the event for additional $10.00. Tickets will be available
at the door in limited amounts for $60 for adults and $25 for children. A portion of the evening and tickets sold will benefit the Pittsburgh Emergency Medicine Foundation (PEMF).
