Every summer the three rivers opens up it’s waterways to one of the most thrilling weekends of the whole year. The Three Rivers Regatta comes to Point State Park and the North Shore August 4-6th.
On the water, the festivities kick off Friday at noon with the F-Lights Powerboat and continues throughout the weekend with Jet Ski Stunt Shows and the famed Anything That Floats Race. All day Saturday the water, and hopefully the sky, will be filled with Flugtags when forty teams compete for the Red Bull Flugtag.
At Point State Park you can take the Family for the Kids Zone, Sand Sculptures, The Wheel of Lights, the Beach Korner brought to you by AAA and the EQT Power Your Future. Throughout the weekend there will also be the Nutrish Frisbee Dogs performing at various times. The Regatta ends with a fantastic fireworks display.
On all three days, the Clemente Bridge will be closed and transformed into the Regatta Marketplace. This will be your chance to shop local vendors and artists and also grab a bite to eat!
All weekend long at PNC Park the Pittsburgh Pirates are playing all three days against the San Diego Padres. Friday and Saturday games start at 7:05 PM and Sunday starts at 1:35 PM. Check out Pittsburgh Pirates for tickets.
On the Main Stage at Point State Park, there will be shows at 8 PM Friday and Saturday. On Friday Check out Easton Corbin who will bring his Nashville NO.1 hits to the stage. Saturday brings Smash Mouth to the main stage with all of their hits from “Walking on the Sun” to the newest album “Magic”. All shows are free unless you would like pit tickets, see yougottaregatta.com.
