The timeless classic, Pride and Prejudice kicks off the 2018 season of Pittsburgh’s Public Theater. The 2018/19 season at the Public has been much anticipated by the addition of Mayra Sea Kaminski as Artistic Director. Aptly titled “Welcome Home”, the new season is opening with this classic with a modern twist.
This version of Pride and Prejudice is a premiere from writer Kate Hamill. Directed by Desdemona Chiang, Hamill’s comedic story highlights the Bennet sisters and the search for a husband in the 19th century. This version then puts the sisters through some twists and turns that include a lot of surprises.
Pride and Prejudice open on September 27 and runs until October 28th with Opening Night being October 5th held various times. For more information visit ppt.org, call 412-316-1600 or visit the O’Reilly Box Office.
