As most Pittsburgh residents start to embrace fall with Pumpkin-everything and hooded sweatshirts the Farmer Markets around Pittsburgh start to shift towards harvest season. This is the time to find the fall finds and even some baked goods. Lawrenceville Farmers Market will hold a new market on September 29th.
The Farmers + Artist Market is an extension of The Lawrenceville Market held on Saturdays and will bring local artisans to market already filled with lots of local farms. The Farmers + Artist market is expected to be the largest bringing over 40 vendors to the event. It is the hope that the market will take over most of Arsenal Park so patrons can enjoy the green space while shopping.
If you are a local artisan, maker or farmer applications to The Farmers + Artist Market are being collected through mid-September. Lawrenceville Farmers Market is a non-profit program of Lawrenceville United. The Lawrenceville Farmers Market focuses on providing fresh produce to residents as well as scholarship opportunities, SNAP and Senior Vouchers.
The Lawrenceville Farmers + Artist Market will take place on September 29th from 1 PM-6 PM at Arsenal Park. For more information visit www.lunited.org.
For more information, questions, or an application to the market, please contact Lawrenceville Farmers’ Market Manager Sarah Cole at firstname.lastname@example.org.
