Italian Lunch for One

By: Amanda Narcisi

One of the best things about Pittsburgh is having lunch. While most of the local restaurant serves a great lunch catered to the one-hour lunch break some are slow and relaxed. DiAnoia’s Eatery in the Strip District is a place you want to sit a savor everything on the menu.

Start lunch with a cocktail. For noon The menu suggests a Martini Perfecto, a Negroni and a LaRosita; a tequila cocktail spiced up with chili peppers. Spicy was a perfect start to lunch.

DiAnoia’s Eatery lunch menu has a long list of Panini’s. The Ham and Cheese stood out for the honey smoked ham and BBQ sauce is a great combination. The “Ham and Cheese” came on an 8” sandwich roll and with Boursin Cheese.

One of the most raved about things at DiAnoia’s is the dessert counter. They had a great selection of cream puffs, cookies, and bars. Chocolate topped cream puff with a latte as the dessert.

DiAnoia’s Eatery is located at 2549 Penn Ave in Strip District. For a complete menu and more information visit
