The corner of 21st and East Carson Street now has a new restaurant that will bring craft and wood fired menu to the SouthSide of Pittsburgh.
Bonfire Food and Drink is the newest concept by Chef Chris Bonfili, formally of Avenue B which closed in March at the ends of its lease.
Bonfire Food and Drink will House two floors of food and libations. The first floor will house a wood-fired grill that will bring relate some amazing Flatbreads like Cheesesteak Flatbread with roasted lamb shoulder, 5 year cheddar, peppers & onions. The rest of the menu will be causal with some craft beer flair. Other notable item is Boursin, smoked onion & mushroom Mac n Cheese.
The second floor will be a bit more sophisticated with a wine bar and craft cocktail menu and a small lounge area. It will be similar to Bonfili’s Avenue B.
The first floor is now open. The first floor of Bonfire is open Tuesday - Sunday at 5pm (closed Mondays), but will begin the roll out of lunch starting the week of 1/15, and will also be adding brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-3pm.
The second floor with a more upscale menu is has an unannounced opening date.
