Halloween DIY

It's Halloween.  You find yourself wanting to throw an epic Halloween party for some of your friends.  And, you realize you need to decorate to spice things up a little.  Here are some easy tips to make it happen - without killing your wallet:

1.  Dress up your table dressings with a decorative (and functional) napkin ring.  Use a set of fake vampire teeth (you can pick up at your local Dollar Store)! (PHOTO AND LINK: http://www.howdoesshe.com/under-3-20-ways-to-decorate-for-halloween-for-under-3/)

2.  Add some splash to your drinks with spider ice cubes.  Grab some Dollar Store spider rings and freeze them into your ice cubes.  When you serve your drinks, there'll be floating spiders.  (PHOTO AND LINK: http://www.howdoesshe.com/under-3-20-ways-to-decorate-for-halloween-for-under-3/)

3.  Want to add some fun to your punch?  Freeze water inside a latex glove.  Peel the glove off for a creepy hand that is also functional in keeping your punch chilled.  (PHOTO AND LINK: http://www.buzzfeed.com/hillaryreinsberg/24-surprisingly-easy-halloween-party-diys?sub=1824296_643454#.puxqxMoGR)

4.  Add a splash of glow-in-the-dark ambiance with painted mason jars.  (PHOTO AND LINK: https://iso.500px.com/tutorial-create-glow-in-the-dark-mason-jars-for-your-next-diy-photo-experiment/)

5.  Make guests feel like there's something watching them.  Cut out eyes from a few toilet paper rolls, insert some fun glow-in-the-dark bracelets, and hide those bad boys in a dark corner to freak your friends out.  (PHOTOS AND LINK: http://www.howdoesshe.com/under-3-20-ways-to-decorate-for-halloween-for-under-3/)

6.  How about adding some fun candles?  Hollow out mini gourds/pumpkins!  You can either make your own DIY candles pouring wax and a wick into the hollowed out pumpkin, or you can set a votive inside it.  Want to hang them?  Drill out a hole in either side and tie some decorative ribbon.  (PHOTO AND LINK: http://www.buzzfeed.com/hillaryreinsberg/24-surprisingly-easy-halloween-party-diys?sub=1824296_643454#.puxqxMoGR)

7.  While we're on the topic of pumpkin decor, hollow out a larger pumpkin and place a bowl inside to either serve as a punch bowl or to hold chips, etc.  (PHOTO AND LINK: http://www.buzzfeed.com/hillaryreinsberg/24-surprisingly-easy-halloween-party-diys?sub=1824296_643454#.puxqxMoGR)
