Schedule for Sonntag through October.

Schedule for Sonntag through October.

Starting Sunday May 15th at 2:00 PM, and almost every Sunday for the rest of the summer, Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse is throwing a celebration named Sonntag. Sonntag means Sunday in German so it is only fitting that this celebration is in Deutschtown at the barrelhouse and is highlighting North Side Beers.

The North Side Breweries to participate in rotation are longtime residents: Penn Brewery and Rivertowne Brewing as well as new additions: Allegheny City Brewing, War Streets Brewery, and Spring Hill Brewing which have yet to open. Admission is free, but there will be a whiskey dram for sale and when you get the dram of whiskey you get a flight of beer from the highlighted brewery.

Berlin Street Foods will be there most Sundays for German-style street food and also worked with Wigle to craft a special cocktail with apfelschorle: a german apple soda.

On Sunday May 15th, for the kickoff party, Karl Lukitsch will be on hand with his accordion playing from 3:00 to 5:00pm.

Sonntag is free and family friendly. There will be a selection of cocktails and bottles for purchase from the barrelhouse. For additional information check out
