"On Wednesdays we wear pink."
"You can sit with us."
"It's so fetch."
The phrases of Mean Girls can go on forever and have become a staple of pop culture in the last 15 years. There's a Mean Girls day, October 3rd, and even a cookbook written by one of the stars. This October, the iconic stage show based on the movie takes the stage at the Benedum for a fetch time.
Mean Girls is about Cady Heron, a new girl in school, who has never attended a public high school before. She gets in with the Plastics, a group of popular girls that everyone loves to hate. Regina George heads the Plastics, the perfect plastic, she makes all the rules and victimizes everyone in the school. Cady is good with The Plastics until she falls for Regina's ex-boyfriend, Aaron Samuels. Cady sets out to destroy Regina and becomes a Plastic herself.
The first tour of Mean Girls starts Fall 2019 with stops in cities like Denver, Las Vegas, and Cleveland. Mariah Rose Faith will play the Plastics leader as Regina George, Jonalyn Saxer as Karen Smith, and Megan Masko Haley as Gretchen Wieners.
