As we steam ahead to summer in Pittsburgh, the Cultural District goes ahead with festivals and new shows. Below is the list of events for June:

Three Rivers Arts Festival

Beginning June 7th is ten days of art and music. All festivities are free. Highlights include the Artist Market full of local artists with items for purchase, India Arie opening night music and these amazing colorful umbrella like chairs to sit in. Definitely Instagram worthy. One of the coolest features for the festival is the Pittsburgh Time Capsule. The booth sets up two time capsules; one for the Mayor's office and one for the Cultural Trust to be displayed in 100 years at the festival in 2119. Everyone has a chance to add to the capsule a recording so get ready!
